About Fawadafr

Fawadafr is my complete name, Fawad and my initials (Ahmad Fawad Rashidi). I published my first web site in 2001. I used to write my articles and comments regarding Microsoft products in Microsoft Technical Communities Web Site. I was also subscribed to other technical community web sites.

Year 2001

On April of 2001 I started my very first job in United States. As soon as I got my first pay check I purchased this domain name and hosted my very first web site on the Internet. It only had 3 pages with few images and text. I published it with Microsoft FrontPage because I was expert in that application.

Year 2002

Since I had been living away from my families, I decided to create a secure network to bring my families closer to each other. I came up with a web log (Blog) system so that my families and friends could create a topic and others could leave a comment. As time went by, I added photo galleries, music galleries, family videos and live chat system. I was not a web designer at that time but got really interested in this subject.

Year 2003

By Jun 2003 I was able to bring most of my family members from other communities to my web site. I offered them e-mail, web calendar and storage to save their files.

I also got my first job as a web designer in Los Angles Pierce College. Since I never had a class in web development, I did not know much about HTML, CSS or other languages used for creating web sites. My first job at the community college helped me a lot. I was working directly with the real web site designers. Whenever I was learning some thing from them, I would come to my computer and practice it on my own web site. Everything started from here which also changed my life and my career.

Year 2004 - Now

I redesigned Fawadafr completely from scratch. I created a sub domain and transferred all of my families and friends' data there. So, Fawadafr's primary job changed. I wanted to offer services to the world. Since I was a freelance web designer I decided to make my site a place where my people could see my talent and hire me for their projects. Actually, the idea of creating such web site was giving to me by many clients.
